Financial Controller

£75,000 to £85,000 per annum

5 days a week in the Central London

Accountancy Action have partnered with a rapidly expanding Property development company in order to find them an impressive Financial Controller.

The company is going through a rapid growth period and are looking for someone to be part of that scale up. Currently a group of companies, they are looking to expand and want the right team to help them on that journey. They are operating across residential and commercial markets on exciting projects.

  • Qualified ACCA or CIMA Accountant with significant post qualification experience gained across different sectors
  • Recent and relevant financial and/or accounting experience, with strong organisational skills to institute and oversee strong financial controls.
  • Ownership of all operational aspects of Finance across the Balance Sheet and P&L ensuring accurate and clear reconciliation of the financial information.
  • Oversight of the-month-end process from start to finish, strong review and analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Support preparation of clear and useful management information
  • Developing and mentoring team members to deliver timely and high-quality financial information
  • Quarterly/ monthly VAT returns within the set deadlines by HMRC
  • Year end audit requirements - lead liaison with external auditors
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and consolidation
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Supporting the Financial Director in ad hoc project requests
  • Ability to be challenging, pragmatic, robust and resilient
  • Demonstrate being an inspirational leader, with excellent management, coaching and partnering skills, that generates confidence and respect with a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent communication skills; proven record of preparing and delivering persuasive, high quality, written and verbal reports and presentations within the organisation.
