Investigo have partnered with a growing Energy company headquartered in London who are currently looking to expand their finance function with a new Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team and support the businesses with embedding accounting best practice and partnering with senior management. Location: Hammersmith, London
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + bonus
Hybrid working: 3 days office based
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all financial control activities, including monthly and quarterly disclosures
- Provide financial information to senior management team aiding in sound financial decision making
- Work closely with auditors and act as first point of contact
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Improve finance operations and systems
- Maintain and implement technical accounting standards
- Timely preparation of monthly management accounts
- Year-end accounting and submissions
Required skills and qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualification
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including UK GAAP and IFRS
- Strong Excel and ERP systems knowledge, ideally Sage50 experience
- Experience of budgeting & forecasting processes
- Experience of derivative and fair value reporting
- Energy or utilities experience is preferred
