Financial Controller | Series C International Health & Wellness E-commerce Scale-Up | London (Hybrid)

Backed by some of the world's leading investors in their recent Series C funding, they have scaled rapidly, expanding their presence internationally and growing their UK operations significantly. As they continue to build their presence across the UK and EMEA, they are now looking for a talented Financial Controller to build their EMEA Finance team, ground up.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and dynamic role, working closely with senior leadership to ensure the finance function is robust and scalable. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, reporting, and compliance, as well as supporting strategic initiatives as the company continues to expand.

Sitting within a high-growth and fast-paced environment, this role requires a proactive individual who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable working across multiple business functions. This role offers the opportunity to hire, build and train a new finance team and take part in expansion across the EMEA region and supporting the release of new product lines/brands.

Responsibilities

* Own the financial management of UK and EMEA entities, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance.

* Manage monthly close processes, presenting financial results to senior stakeholders.

* Oversee local compliance reporting, tax filings, and statutory audits.

* Drive process improvement projects within financial systems, ensuring scalability as the business grows.

* Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management across multiple regions.

* Collaborate with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and commercial finance initiatives.

* Manage a small finance team, providing coaching and development opportunities.

* Act as a business partner across key departments, providing financial insights to support decision-making.

* Support fundraising activities and investor reporting where required.

Essential Experience

* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

* 3+ years PQE, ideally within a fast-scaling business. * Experience working in a scale-up or mature environment.

* Strong technical finance skills, with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

* Strong understanding of inventory/stock management/forecasting from a FMCG/Retail/Beauty/Health & Wellness (or equivalent) perspective

* Ability to work autonomously and solve complex financial challenges.

* High attention to detail and strong decision-making abilities.

* Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Desired Experience (non-essential)

* Worked in a start-up as well as 100m+ portfolio company

* Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

* Experience working across multiple international entities.

* Understanding of regulatory compliance within healthcare or wellness.

* Global expansion, release of new product lines or brands

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 + benefits + considerable equity

Location: London (Hybrid 2-3 days in office)

Start Date: Up to 3 month notice periods considered
