Our client is a world class publishing house with a globally recognised brand, this role is to work alongside the Finance Director in driving the companies reporting, and ensuring the culture of control improvements. As financial controller you will ensure the companys financial reports are delivered, presented and maintained in a timely, accurate mannerand you will have responsibility over the Management Accountant and Ap/AR teams. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A HYBRID ROLEÂ
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Duties
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Leading the preparation and coordination of monthly management accounts to ensure timely and accurate reporting
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Supervise UK Finance team including Accounts Payable, Credit Controller and Management Accountant
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Monthly analysis & department performance review
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Developing and driving annual budget and rolling forecasts
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure timely resolution of audit issues
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Creation & review of monthly finance packs for UK Finance Director
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Identifying risks & opportunities
Key Skills
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Minimum 5 years post qualified experience or similar relevant experience essential
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Several years' experience as Financial Controller or a Head of Finance
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Background in Media/publishing preferable
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Working knowledge of all appropriate statutory legislation and regulations
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Commercial and business awareness
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proactive and detail orientated approach
OÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong leadership attributes
