Our client invests in commercial and residential real estate which benefits from strong fundamentals and growth prospects.

The London office was established in 2020, and since then have gone from strength to strength acquiring a substantial portfolio of properties. The London office is a close-knit team of colleagues with an entrepreneurial mindset and ambitious growth plans, with good opportunities for growth and a challenging environment. The office is based in central London with easy access to transport links.

The TeamThis is a small Finance team being formed, but with the opportunity to work with other Finance colleagues and direct access to the C-Suite. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team as the business looks to grow and expand its UK commercial real estate operations.

The RoleThis role will be reporting into the Financial Controller and will be responsible for all aspects of financial functions relating to the assigned portfolio of properties.

Your essential duties and responsibilities are:• Managing financial statements of number of portfolios.• Reviewing and amending the transactions posted by the managing agent / asset management team as necessary.• Liaising with managing agent / asset manager/ property management accountant on a regular basis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of transactions.• Reviewing invoices/ purchase orders posted by the accounts payable team as necessary.• Journal entries for corrections, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, capitalisation etc.• Providing VAT returns & CIS tax returns information to the relevant team members within the timeline.• Assisting in the buying & selling of assets / companies and following correct accounting treatment.• Helping on-boarding the companies when required.• Quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.• Quarterly preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS & FRS 102.• Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts of the assigned portfolio of companies and dealing with audit queries.About YouWe are looking for a part qualified/qualified financial accountant, with experience in the real estate sector.

Experience & knowledge• Strong financial accounting experience with a focus on commercial real estate experience.• Experience working with integrated real estate ERP systems such as Yardi (preferred system), MRI and/or Qube
