Ruby Group are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a Private Equity backed business. This is a newly created senior role due to company growth. The role is reporting into the Head of Group Reporting and is working within a team of 10. The role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office) your key deliverables will be: -
- Supporting the Group Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of the annual report and interim financial statements of the Group, and taking ownership of accounting for all of the Group’s subsidiary entities.
- Supporting in the preparation for the year-end audit and the interim review, including in leading the preparation of the Accounting Matters Report for the Board
- Support the contact with and providing assistance to the Group’s auditors.
- Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and review of the monthly reporting (internal and external)
- Working collaboratively across the wider finance team and the business to ensure performance is understood and reporting is delivered on time
- Working closely with the Financial Control team to ensure robustness and consistency between data sets
- Working with FP&A team and the business on the annual budget and forecasting processes
- Working closely with the Financial Controller and Head of Finance in developing and documenting scalable finance processes and controls, driving efficiencies within the Finance team and reducing reporting timelines
- Evolve and document the accounting policies of the business, ensuring financial reporting is aligned with accounting standard FRS 102
- Preparation of the annual report and associated notes
- Working alongside the Head of reporting with transitioning to IFRS in the near future.
- Support the preparation of quarterly reporting information, communicated externally and internally to the FD/CFO
The ideal applicant will be educated to degree level and have a professional qualification in either ACA,ACCA or CIMA preferably from a practice background. You must have an excellent understanding of IFRS with previous experience preparing and auditing financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
