Global Controller | Full-time and Permanent | Salary up to 拢100,000 | Remote - Need to be immediately available

Ashley Kate are thrilled to be working with our client who operate in the software industry as they search for a Global Controller to join the team. The Global Controller will be responsible for consolidated group reporting for publicly listed Swedish company, including review of local entity accounts and multi-currency, multi-subsidiary consolidation in compliance with IFRS. This role will have 2 direct reports and the client is ideally looking for a candidate who speaks Swedish and has dealt with Swedish accounts.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

路 Lead and develop regional accounting teams to ensure consistent policies and practices.

路 Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, including Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Compliance, to provide critical financial insights and ensure alignment with business goals.

路 Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, supporting decision-making through data-driven insights.

路 Direct, support, and where necessary, perform the duties of general and international accounting, multi-entity consolidation, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, and cash management.

路 Prepare and publish timely quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with reporting requirements as a publicly listed company

路 Manage the annual interim and year end external audit (Group) and local statutory audits for required entities by acting as the first point of contact for compliance partners and auditors

路 Oversee and support statutory reporting required for subsidiaries

路 Collaborate with and support the development, implementation, and oversight of required financial systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls.

路 Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to management team to support decision making

About You:

  • Degree in Accounting, Qualified or Part-Qualified
  • 3+ years relevant work experience, preferably with a publicly listed company
  • Swedish speaker (highly desirable)
  • Dealt with Swedish accounts (highly desirable)
  • Experience in accounting/controllership, including leadership roles in global or multi-entity organisations.
  • IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience
  • Ideally worked in a startup
