Graduate Accountant | Entry level position

Reed are seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our client's Business Services department in their City office. This role is ideal for graduates and school leavers eager to develop essential accounting skills and gain practical experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will receive full support in undertaking your ACCA qualification alongside on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals.Day-to-day of the role:

  • Responsible for the preparation of accounts from client portfolios within specified budget timescales.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client deliverables.
  • Develop relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service to address their accounting needs and inquiries.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance accounting knowledge and skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting (2:1 or above).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the accounting profession.
