Ignata Finance are working exclusively with a business based in central London for the recruitment of a qualified Group Accountant. This is an exciting role where you will be given an opportunity to support the Finance Controller with the production of the management/stat accounts. To be successful in this role you will be highly commercial. You will very quickly develop a strong understanding of the business in order to identify both new opportunities, and margin improvement opportunities. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will change as they operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an ideal role for someone looking to leave an accountancy practice after qualifying. Key Responsibilities:

Maintaining the General Ledger for the head office entities and delivering the monthly close and reporting process, encompassing; transactional accounting, posting of recurring and non-recurring manual journals for high-profile transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts
Monitoring of exceptional costs and central overheads against departmental budgets, including monthly review meetings with departmental owners to understand actuals and short-term forecasts
Responsibility for the calculation of the Group’s management fees and intercompany interest, including cost recharging, invoicing, and accounting and tax processes
Driving the budget and regular reforecasting process for central overheads, working closely with FP&A
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and annual accounts for the Group’s holding companies, including driving the audit process for head office entities
Supporting the Group FC with technical accounting and financial reporting projects across the Group
