A global FTSE listed international organisation headquartered in the heart of London is looking for a proactive and analyticalGroup Accountantto join their dynamic team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone making their first move into industry; the role has opened up as someone has moved internally with the business and they are big on promoting within. This opportunity enables you to influence the company’s operations and growth, providing insightful analysis and high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders and the board.

As the business embarks on an exciting expansion journey, this position requires a strong business partner who can collaborate with senior stakeholders across departments, including Audit, ESG Investor Relations (IR), and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the consolidation of group accounts across multiple international entities, ensuring precision and compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Work closely with the technical accounting team, staying ahead of evolving financial regulations and providing guidance on complex accounting matters.
  • Conduct monthly KPI analysis, prepare the annual budget, and develop 5-year strategic plans, collaborating closely with the ESG team on various models.
  • Prepare and present high-quality financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, offering actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Business Partner with cross-functional global teams to enhance financial processes and controls across the organisation.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in an audit firm is essential; post-qualified experience in a listed business is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS including IFRS 16 and IFRS 9
  • Experience in managing group consolidations in a multinational environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with consolidation tools ideal
