We are seeking a Group Accountant to join one of our retail clients in South West London (Chelsea), and help manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team. The team is small and the successful candidate will work full time in the Chelsea office.

The client is a small retail brand that produces luxury jewellery. They are a well established, family-owned brand that are keen for a Group Accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will be working alongside the head of Finance in a very small team of 2. The successful candidate will also be working very closely with the CEO and Owner of the business to help manage the company's finances and drive the team forward.
Description
The successful Group Accountant will:
- Oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
- Manage the day to day running of the finance team - including all bookkeeping for the business
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and manage the end-to-end monthly and yearly close.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
- Report to the Head of Finance with timely and accurate financial information.
- Assist the Head of Finance in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
Profile
A successful Group Accountant will:
- Have approximately 2-3 years experience doing a very similar role in an SME
- Qualified by Experience or an ACCA/CIMA finalist
- Prior experience working in a retail/fashion/FMCG business - heavily prefered
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong Excel skills
- Happy to work 5 days per week in the Chelsea office
Job Offer
- £55,000 - £60,000
