This prestigious luxury retailer is looking for a Group Accountant on an 18-month contract, paying £70k-£80k + benefits (depending on experience). You must be ACA / ACCA qualified with experience in preparing year end and group consolidation.
This company offers a hybrid working model with 2 days in the office and the required start date is the 25th of February, with some flexibility for the right candidate, but no later than March 4th. Due to the timeline, we unfortunately can't consider candidates with a notice period of one month or more.
The first 6 months:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for the Group, and multiple holding companies This includes data collation, report updates and support working papers
- Audit and Reconciliation: Manage the external audit process, promptly addressing auditor queries. Reconcile statutory accounts with management accounts and prepared IFRS adjustments
- Analysis and Review: Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements for senior management review, ensuring accuracy and providing key insights
The following 12 months:
- Management Accounting & Reporting: Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts, including all group journal entries, and managed the monthly accounts
- Client & Property Management: Oversee the client accounts, including daily rent invoicing, payments, HMRC NRL compliance (quarterly payments and annual return), bank reconciliations, deposit interest management, and client query resolution. Additionally, manage property costs (rent/service charges) and liaise with managing agents
- Compliance & Other Financial Activities: Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the Group, calculate and invoice intercompany royalties, manage annual insurance renewals, and submit required information to the Office for National Statistics.
