Group Financial Accountant

Halliday Marx have partnered with a growing media company to recruit a Group Financial Accountant

Duties:

  • Review of the balance sheet and operating costs of the UK and US trading entities.
  • Review of and development of foreign subsidiary reporting submissions.
  • Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts, consolidation journals, and board paper schedules.
  • Enhance and develop management P&L, BS and cashflow reporting.
  • Prepare financial information for ad hoc management requests
  • Assisting with technical accounting issues, the production of supporting calculations, schedules and memos.
  • The preparation of the year-end consolidated IFRS financial statements and UK subsidiary financial statements.
  • Manage year-end audit and handle coordination with external auditors.
  • Liaison with the Group's tax consultants in both the UK and US as required.
  • Co-ordination of UK and US tax provisions and payments with consultants.
  • Review and renewal transfer pricing policy across the Group.
  • Keeping oversight of US tax compliance with support from consultants.
  • Supporting the F/C with process improvements and development of internal controls in a rapidly growing and evolving business.
  • Evaluating and managing risk across the business.
  • Various other ad-hoc finance related project work and initiatives.
  • BAU finance department tasks in respect of UK and US entities.

  • Be able to multi-task and prioritise

  • Be able to work autonomously, drive initiatives forward, manage to deadlines
  • Be reliable and thorough, have a good attention to detail
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent excel skills, including the ability to analyse data and build financial models.
  • Someone who brings new ideas and improvements
  • Be qualified ACA or ACCA.
