Do you have experience as a Financial Controller within a retail business?
If so, our client is seeking a Group Financial Controller to manage a team of 20, overseeing and developing all accounting practices across the global business.
The role will pay up to 120k DOE + bonus and will be hybrid working (2-3 days per week in office).
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly management Accounts
- Responsibility and oversight of the financial accounting and transactional teams
- Working with the Commercial team to produce the monthly management pack with commentary and analysis
- Assisting with the wider finance team to ensure accurate reporting within deadlines
- Ensuring vigorous financial controls across the business and identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Review and authorisation of all journals before being entry in to the general ledger
- Ensuring completion and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly cashflow reports and forecasts, ensuring accurate tracking of the company's position and future financial needs
- Assist with preparation of the group budget, reforecasts and long term strategic planning process
- Ad-hoc requests from the CFO when required.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar role within retail or FMCG
- Experience managing and developing a large team
- Commercially minded with experience providing value to a business and promoting growth
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within a global business is beneficial.
