Group Financial Controller
£80,000 - £90,000 + 10% Bonus

We Do Group are super excited to be working with a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation in the search for a Group Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate will be ACA-qualified from a top 10 firm, with 3-8 years of industry experience in a Group Accounting role.
As the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting across the Group, overseeing monthly board reporting, leading the annual external audit and driving process and control improvements.
You’ll also play a key role in M&A and financing transactions while taking ownership of risk management for the wider Group.
The RoleMonthly Financial Reporting- Oversee all month-end processes, including board pack analysis and commentary, multi-currency consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, cash flow statements, liquidity analyses, and Group balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as a key business partner to regional Financial Controllers and finance teams across the UK, US, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Poland.
- Manage and develop the Group Finance Manager, ensuring strong performance and professional growth.
- Prepare the Group Annual Report and Financial Statements, taking ownership of the year-end audit process, including coordinating key Group audit requirements and project management across regional components.
- Play a key role in Group finance initiatives such as refinancing and M&A activities.
- Provide technical advice on accounting standards and prepare technical papers where required.
- Work alongside the Group CFO and Group Finance Director to maintain and implement financing facilities, including covenant compliance reporting.
- Drive transformation projects by implementing process enhancements and standardisation across the finance function.
- Identify opportunities to improve controls and streamline workflows.
- Lead the Group’s insurance portfolio, handling annual renewals and any ad hoc queries.
- Serve as the Group Risk Management Lead, chairing quarterly sub-committees and managing the Group’s Risk Registers and internal control environment.
- Support the Group Finance Manager with the Group’s Carbon and Net-Zero strategy, overseeing annual regulatory climate-related reporting.
- ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant
- Proven track record in financial leadership, analysis, and reporting
- Strong IFRS technical knowledge (Full IFRS & FRS 101) with experience in multi-currency consolidation
- Experience in technical accounting (e.g. business combinations, goodwill impairment, lease accounting)
- Experience leading external statutory audits in a group environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence leadership decisions
- Highly driven and motivated, with a positive attitude towards transformation and change
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritise competing tasks and tight deadlines
- Intermediate Excel skills
