Altum Consulting are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to join a fast-growing digital media business. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior management team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, control, and compliance across the organisation. This role demands a strong leader with a proven track record of driving financial excellence and implementing best practices in a complex, multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the organisation, contributing to the development and implementation of the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS or other applicable accounting standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Manage the financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, including management commentary and analysis.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and performance management.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to finance teams across the group's subsidiaries.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the financial skills and knowledge of the team.
- Manage performance and development of direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in a senior financial management role, preferably as a Financial Controller or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Proven experience in managing financial reporting and consolidation in a multi-entity, international environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management.
- Experience leading and developing large teams.
