Group Management Accountant - Part-Qual/Finalist

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Mayfair - Full Time In Office/5 Days a week

My client is a UK based hospitality group expanding the headcount of their finance team with a part-qualified group accountant in their Mayfair office, they are looking for someone to come into the office full time.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of the month end and balance sheet reconciliations for corporate entities and development entities in the hospitality group.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the month end and balance sheet reconciliations for corporate entities in the investor group.
  • Journals - accruals, prepayments, depreciation, assets acquisitions, interest and inter-company transactions.
  • Tracking all the development and corporate invoices and payments.
  • Responsible for maintaining the CWIP and CAPEX trackers.
  • Key finance contact with third party who are responsible for day-to-day accounting of restaurant and hotels operations, including review of monthly reporting.
  • Responsible for the submission of all the relevant information to the external auditors.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly cash funding requests and draw notices with supporting documentation, including maintaining register of group treasury and inter-company transactions.
  • Own the inter-company reconciliation process for the corporate entities.
  • Responsible for maintaining inter-company loan position and ensure all interest payments are made.
  • Preparation & filing of VAT returns and support external preparation for CT.
  • Ad hoc project work in treasury and accounting.

Ideal Profile & Qualifications:

  • CIMA/ACCA Part-qualified/Finalist level
  • Previous experience as an accountant ideally within a group of companies, with journal entry, balance sheet reconciliations and consolidations
  • Technical knowledge of UK GAAP, desirable
  • Experience of managing relationships and working closely with other accountingdepartments an advantage
  • Strong Excel Skills
