Stanton House is currently recruiting for an Interim Group Reporting Accountant to join a high-growth PE-backed IT Services Business in London on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. This is a hybrid role, working in the office two days per week and the rest from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in the financial accounting team and improve processes across group entities.
  • Oversee financial accounting for specific entities within the group.
  • Coach, develop, and manage junior management accountants.
  • Handle consolidation and monthly group reporting, including posting consolidation journals and ensuring intercompany accuracy.
  • Collaborate with financial accounting and commercial finance teams to enhance processes and deliver group-level analysis, projects, and results.
  • Prepare financial statements for certain entities and assist with group consolidated reports.
  • Support interim and year-end audits.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts in line with revenue recognition policies and accounting standards.
  • Produce divisional financial reports with variance analysis, commentary, and customer/project-level reporting on revenue and margins.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
  • Support annual forecasts, budget preparation, and weekly reports, such as cash forecasts.
  • Co-manage relationships with external auditors.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • ACA-qualified accountant (or equivalent) from a Top 10 practice, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in the industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, particularly revenue recognition.
  • Experience in IT industries with exposure to best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work with finance and non-finance teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with experience leading and developing others.
  • Results-driven with a focus on delivering practical solutions and driving business improvements.
  • Experience in accounting system implementation and improvement is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
