Our client is a leading independent provider of market intelligence to the global energy and commodity markets. They are looking for aqualified Group Tax Accountant to focus on direct tax compliance and reporting. This role offers an opportunity to join a team of five and report directly into the Head of Tax. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of corporate income tax returns in multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll do:
As a Group Tax Accountant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our client's financial operations. You will be tasked with preparing corporate income tax returns across various jurisdictions, working closely with external advisors. Your expertise will also be crucial in preparing consolidated tax provisions and disclosures for annual statutory audit reporting. Collaborating with the global Finance team, you'll calculate accurate tax provisions and manage tax balances. Additionally, you'll work alongside the Group Treasury Manager to manage payment requirements. Your role will extend beyond these tasks as you'll also support the Head of Tax with ad-hoc projects.
- Work with external advisors to prepare corporate income tax returns in various overseas jurisdictions.
- Prepare consolidated tax provisions and current and deferred tax disclosures required for annual statutory audit reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with the global Finance team to calculate accurate tax provisions and manage tax balances in the ERP (NetSuite) required for monthly management and external bank reporting.
- Work with the Group Treasury Manager to manage payment on account requirements.
- Work closely with the finance team and tax team to increase efficiency and accuracy of existing tax reporting processes.
- Support the Head of Tax with ad-hoc projects as required.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Group Tax Accountant position brings a wealth of skills and experience. You hold a Chartered Accountancy qualification and have an excellent understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS. Your background ideally includes experience from a top-tier professional services firm. As an individual, you are highly motivated and hardworking, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Chartered Accountancy qualification is mandatory.
