Reed is acting on behalf of a well-known brand who are seeking a Management Accountant to provide robust accounts support to the Financial Controller and the wider finance team. This role involves managing subsidiaries, producing a full set of management accounts including cash flows, and supporting year-end statutory accounts and external audits.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage accounting processes for subsidiaries, including posting documents and producing management accounts.
- Process refunds from HMRC Customs for Duty drawback charges and calculate various financial outputs.
- Produce calculations for Purchase Retros, Sales out, and Marketing Spend for invoicing by the Credit Control/Sales Ledger Team.
- Process employee expenses, ensuring adherence to the company's expense policy, and address discrepancies with the Financial Controller.
- Perform bank and merchant reconciliations, intercompany account reconciliations, and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Produce timely reports to support decision-making for department heads and stakeholders.
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- Support the Financial Controller with the integration of entities and streamlining processes.
- Business partnering with teams to ensure financial results are understood and support any queries.
- Experience in a finance office environment, ideally within a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude with a tenacious approach.
- Ability to plan and organise workload effectively, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office packages.
- Desirable: Experience in whisky or premium spirits industry, part-qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification, experience with ERP finance systems like Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle.
