The role has become available due to year-end pressures and will help see through the financial closedown.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting General Fund accounting, with a key focus on homelessness budgets
  • Leading on reconciliation work and assisting with financial reporting for year-end
  • Providing financial insight to support housing and regeneration projects
  • Working closely with non-finance stakeholders to guide financial decision-making
  • Ensuring compliance with local authority financial regulations

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in local authority finance, particularly within Housing & Regeneration
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliation work
  • Expertise in budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting
