We are looking to recruit a skilled Interim EMEA Financial Controller on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract to take ownership of our financial operations across the region. This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented team, drive financial strategy, and play a pivotal role in our growth journey - all from the comfort of your own home!

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own the EMEA financials and consolidated accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Lead and develop a team of 6 in the UK, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the production of monthly Management Accounts and annual corporate statutory group reporting.
  • Lead M&A accounting activities across geographies, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
  • Collaborate with external accountants to maintain compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports for clients, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate financial records in line with GAAP and facilitate effective information flow across departments.
  • Analyse and recommend enhancements to accounting and reporting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the consolidation of ESG metrics in collaboration with relevant Business Units.
  • Drive initiatives for standardization of reporting and operational efficiencies.

Candidate Background:

  • Qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Experience working in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, preferably in a startup context.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders at an international level.
