Robertson Bell are working with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant to work within the pension fund. The role is due to be for a minimum of six months and is fully remote.
The main responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant are:
- Leading the preparation of pension fund accounts for the financial year-end.
- Ensuring contributions are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations. Acting as the point of contact for external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pension fund accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Provide regular updates to the pension committee on fund performance, current values, and governance matters.
The role is working specially within the pension fund and this will appeal to candidates who have either working within a local authority pension fund previously or a strong Local Government Financial Accountant with a strong desire to working within pensions. They will also:
- Be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
- Be immediately available or on a short notice period.
