Agora Talent is delighted to be working with one of the UK’s most popular E-Commerce platforms on the search for an Interim Financial Accountant to join their team on an initial 6-month basis.

You’ll be reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant and will be working in a truly varied role; you’ll be responsible for aspects of both month-end as well as statutory accounting.

The Role…

  • Providing support to the wider technology division through intangible fixed asset accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts with detailed commentary on actuals versus budget.
  • Collaborating with the business to enhance processes and optimise work-streams.
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and taking ownership of financial controls.
  • Assisting in the preparation and completion of audits.
  • Contributing to various improvement initiatives, including streamlining accounting procedures and implementing new systems and tools

About you…

  • Part-qualified in ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or a similar qualification.
  • Relevant experience in a larger business is preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a consumer-centric business is desirable but not necessary.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
  • Possesses an analytical, problem-solving mindset, able to challenge and ask insightful questions.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management and non-finance teams.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced industry environment.
