Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced Interim Accountant to join a dynamic team and support the smooth operation of the financial processes. The role involves assisting with general accounting duties, including month-end activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining key financial records, supporting audits, and assisting with various financial analysis tasks.

This role is a temp to perm role paying up to £55,000 per annum with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in managing balance sheet accounts and related activities.
  • Help maintain financial records such as the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Support VAT and tax-related activities, including reporting, accruals, and payments.
  • Reconcile various accounts including eCommerce, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial documents and reports.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary account details and documents.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial tasks and provide support to senior finance team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills) and accounting software.
