Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant to join a PE-backed Event Business on a 6-month Contract. The position pays £350 - £400 per day, depending on experience (IR35 to be determined). This role is hybrid, working 3 days in their London office and the rest from home.

Responsibilities:

  • A mix of conducting and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, ensuring the business is audit ready.
  • Manage business-as-usual (BAU) activities, including cash applications and transactions.
  • Handle queries and raise invoices across various divisions.
  • Support the audit process in preparation for year-end.
  • Mentor and manage two junior team members.
  • Potential involvement in project work, including cleansing aged payables/receivables and other ad hoc projects.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year PQE.
  • Experience with month-end and transaction reporting is essential.
  • Big 4 or Top 6 experience preferred.
  • Technically strong with a good understanding of debt, credits and accruals.
  • Ability to train and set high standards for junior staff.
  • Strong communication skills.
