Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant to join a PE-backed Event Business on a 6-month Contract. The position pays £350 - £400 per day, depending on experience (IR35 to be determined). This role is hybrid, working 3 days in their London office and the rest from home.
Responsibilities:
- A mix of conducting and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, ensuring the business is audit ready.
- Manage business-as-usual (BAU) activities, including cash applications and transactions.
- Handle queries and raise invoices across various divisions.
- Support the audit process in preparation for year-end.
- Mentor and manage two junior team members.
- Potential involvement in project work, including cleansing aged payables/receivables and other ad hoc projects.
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year PQE.
- Experience with month-end and transaction reporting is essential.
- Big 4 or Top 6 experience preferred.
- Technically strong with a good understanding of debt, credits and accruals.
- Ability to train and set high standards for junior staff.
- Strong communication skills.
