Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a successful Technology business for a 3-month period (January 2025 start) This role will be crucial in supporting the daily finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journal entries into a new ERP system (Certinia, part of Salesforce) and identifying opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.
Role:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor daily transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and prepayments.
- Input and validate financial data into the new ERP system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the business's financial processes.
- Analyse current financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and strengthen internal controls.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and assist with audit queries.
You'll be/have:
- A Qualified Accountant with proven experience in a financial accounting role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Salesforce)
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and financial systems optimization.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
