- Investigate and resolve legacy balance sheet entries while establishing a robust process for monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Enhance the accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations across the finance team, embedding best practices for financial control.
- Conduct a physical verification of fixed assets, reconcile discrepancies, and refine the Fixed Asset Register to ensure accurate classification, valuation, and depreciation.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations to implement effective asset tagging and tracking mechanisms for improved oversight and control.
- Streamline and automate the production of the statutory accounts working file while refining processes for seamless statutory reporting.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Oracle Fusion implementation team, ensuring smooth integration with financial processes.
- Strong experience with Agresso (Oracle experience welcomed but not essential)
- A solid background in balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset management
- Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail
- Strong Excel skills and financial reporting expertise
- Experience in a higher education or public sector setting would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
- Initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension
