Interim Financial Controller | PE Backed Data Infrastructure Scale-Up | London (Hybrid)

The Client

Harmonic are partnering with one of Europe's leading infrastructure providers for A.I. technology in their search for their first Financial Controller/Head of Finance hire beginning on a day rate interim basis, with the potential for this to be extended or consideration for a separate newly created permanent role. Our client is well funded and growing exponentially in the UK and Europe, which has opened up the unique opportunity to lay solid foundations for their finance team.

With the ever-increasing adoption of AI across the globe, the need for state-of-the-art data infrastructure is becoming increasingly necessary. Our client is leading the charge and are seen as innovators in the space. They are headquartered in London, with a requirement for 2 days per week in the office. This role will work directly with the executives and board.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced ACA/ACCA Qualified Financial Controller who has who is technically strong and able to work efficiently in a standalone role. Recent ERP implementation experience is essential as they look to build a robust and scalable finance function from the ground up. Therefore, proven experience of scaling a UK finance function is also essential, ideally as part of a larger international group.

Responsibilities

  • Implement necessary processes to drive efficiency across the finance function.
  • Establish robust financial controls.
  • Ensure the smooth running of daily financial operations.
  • Streamline Reporting Process.
  • Implement new ERP system.
  • Multi-entity consolidations.
  • Ensure compliance to financial and tax regulations.
  • Work closely with the CEO & Board.
  • Cash Flow forecasting and budgeting.

Essential Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
  • Experience in transformation, automation, and/or ERP implementation projects.
  • Proven experience of Scaling a UK finance function.
  • Multi-entity consolidations experience.

Bonus Experience

  • Any experience working for infrastructure providers (Telco, Power, Utilities) would be of benefit.
  • Private Equity or late stage VC portco experience.

Day Rate £450-£600/day (Outside IR35)

Location London (2 days per week in office)
