Interim Financial Controller | Live Entertainment Business | London / Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the most prominent and exciting Private Equity backed businesses in the live music and event space, in their search for an Interim Financial Controller, to join their internationally growing business. This is a 6 month contract with the likelihood of becoming permanent.

The Business:

Focusing on creating, organising and hosting live events, our client specialises in offering memorable and truly unique experiences for their customers. With an international presence across Europe and North America, our client offers multiple value propositions, from unique and engaging events to end to end event management, providing a platform for artists and offering brand and marketing exposure to artists.

With headcount at 45 and turnover at circa £30 million, our client is currently undergoing an exciting period of structural change, offering huge amounts of autonomy for all members of the business. With a friendly and approachable team in place, the business is based in an exciting office space in Central London, boasting a flexible hybrid working pattern. The Role:

As the Financial Controller, you will report directly into a talented Finance Director who has a strong track record in developing and mentoring colleagues. You will be responsible for ensuring the production of management accounts, supporting with budgets, forecasts as well as supporting on ad-hoc systems and controls projects.

This is a broad role which includes both Management Accounting as well as FP&A elements, with potential to become permanent or extend further the initial 6 months. Main duties:

  • Lead on the production of insightful management accounts
  • Supporting with FP&A, including budgets and forecasts for the business
  • Working closely on multi-entity reconciliations, from UK, Europe & USA
  • Acting as a key point of contact during audit
  • Continual process improvement working with wider finance function
  • Reviewing financial systems and driving efficiencies
  • Ad hoc duties supporting the Finance Director

What we need to see (essential):

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified
  • Strong controls background
  • Sector experience within either Events, Music, TV/Film, or Hospitality (Venues/Bars/Restaurants)

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Live events / hospitality background

Day Rate: £350 - £450

Length of Contract: 6 months
