Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a high growth, PE backed business for an initial 6 month contract (day rate) The successful candidate will play a pivotal and hands on role in health checking the current finance function to establish best practices, support growth initiatives and enhance the financial reporting processes.
Role:
- Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead and manage day-to-day financial operations, including monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Develop robust financial processes to support accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance, especially in a private equity-backed environment.
- Work closely with senior management to support strategic planning, financial analysis, and growth initiatives.
- Provide insights into financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and driving profitability.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Act as a trusted business partner across departments, ensuring alignment on financial strategy and goals.
- Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA/CA qualified (audit background)
- Practical experience in a Financial Controller role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Immediately available/short notice period.
