Interim Group Reporting Accountant - London - 3-month FIXED-TERM CONTRACT - £80,000 + benefits
FTSE listed company and a market leader in the real estate industry is seeking interim cover within their Group Reporting Team.
This broad Group finance position would suit an immediately available CA/ACA with experience of working in large and complex businesses.
Main responsibilities:
- Assisting business units in the reconciling of balances with joint ventures and joint operations, including ascertaining correct classification in the Group balance sheet
- Technical accounting for investments in joint ventures and associates for half year and full year reporting
- Ensuring appropriate disclosure is made for investments in/balances with JV's
- Developing a sound knowledge of joint venture and joint operation related matters to support the Group Finance Manager
- Preparing and reconciling a Group intercompany matrix
- Driving forward the implementation of an improved process to maintain the intercompany matrix
- Building relationships and working with external audit team to complete all required audits within necessary timeframes
- Building relationships across the Group and supporting Business Units
- Preparing monthly management accounts for a small number of Group-held entities, including a reconciliation of month-end balances
- Preparing financial statements (under IFRS, FRS 101 or FRS 102) for both Joint Ventures and Group subsidiaries
About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- A Strong background in Technical Accounting
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of IFRS.
- Exposure to consolidations and group accounting in a global organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
