Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant to join PE-Backed FMCG Business in London on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract. This interim opportunity offers a salary of up to £72,000 per annum pro-rata. This is hybrid role working 3 days in office and the rest from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
  • Review nominal account postings monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate weekly and monthly sales reports by category, customer, and country vs. budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Monitor monthly marketing spend to ensure it stays within budget.
  • Compile supply chain KPI reports, including spend and stock turn analysis.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Maintain and update master data, ensuring accurate purchase prices.
  • Identify and implement process and control improvements.
  • Assist with year-end audit and compile supporting documentation.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable (AP and AR) during peak periods and provide coverage when required.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years' finance experience.
  • Skilled in handling high transaction volumes and analysing data.
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g., vlookups, xlookups, pivot tables).
  • Strong systems knowledge; FMCG experience is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in suggesting process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong with FP&A and group consolidations
  • Audit trained would be preferred but not essential.
