Role overview

My client is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join the team. In this role, you will support the Financial Reporting Manager in completing Monthly Management Accounts and Reporting. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert for specific business areas across the group, providing valuable insights and advice as needed.

Key duties

In this role, you will manage the monthly accounting process, including posting P&L and Balance Sheet journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and analysing costs and variances against budget/forecast. You will provide monthly reporting, assist in month-end close processes, and act as the main point of contact for audit queries. Additionally, you will support the preparation of statutory accounts disclosures and collaborate with the IT team to ensure effective ERP system integration. A key part of the role will also be coaching and supporting junior team members.

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Experience using SUN system is desired
  • Experience in Retail sector is desired
