The Project Accountant position is a 5-6 month contract role starting on April 1st in Central London, offering hybrid working with 2 days in the office.
Candidates should be ACCA/ACA qualified or part-qualified with experience in statutory accounting, tax knowledge, and large group consolidation.

Project Accountant - (5-6 month contract, Year End Project)

Central London, starting 1st April

Hybrid working 2 days in office

We are currently seeking an ACCA / ACA qualified or part-qualified Financial Accountant to support the year-end process within a large, complex group organisation. This 5-6 month contract role starting on April 1st, making it ideal for professionals currently available and able to commit to this time frame or those completing in roles/contracts shortly.

Experience required

Good statutory accounting and tax knowledge
Large group consolidation experience
Preparation of year end financial statements
Good understanding of IFRS 16 reporting requirements
Previous experience leading and supporting external audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
Ideally experience managing/supervising staff
You may be a professional contractor adept at carrying out year end accounting projects within varied environments, or you may be someone finishing a permanent role shortly and looking for an interesting project to enhance your experience, having led audits within previous roles.
