My client is a fast-growing NfP organisation seeking an interim Project Accountant on an initial 5-month temporary contract, there is also a strong opportunity for this role to get extended and even go permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Building the budgets and looking at forecasts - working with programme management office and programme teams to build forecasts.
  • Reviewing contracts to understand the terms and conditions around the funding and our reporting requirements.
  • Reconciling the management and financial ledgers for the programme
  • Prepare and analyse monthly internal financial reporting on programmes.
  • Prepare and analyse forecast expenditure on the programme including recommendations on any corrective action which is required.

My client is looking for:

  • At least 3 year's experience in a project-based role.
  • Proficiency in Delivering a timely and robust budgeting and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems.
  • Experience in working with non-accountants.
  • Experience in the NfP and commercial sector is desirable.

My client can offer a flexible approach to working, with 2 days a week going into the office based in central London and the rest working remotely. There is also a strong opportunity for this role to get extended or go permanent.
