Intro
Cedar is currently partnered with a Private-Equity Backed Insurance business to help them secure an Interim Senior Accountant. The role is to support the Financial Controller, during a busy Year End and would be based in their office in The City. The role is a 3 month initial contract, paying a day rate between £450-500 on an Umbrella company basis.

Specialising in multiple niche insurance sectors, they provide comprehensive solutions from product development to claims management. They have recently secured further funding from their investors which is earmarked for future acquisitions, fortifying their growth trajectory.
The Role
As Interim Senior Accountant, you will cover:
- Help the Finance Controller prepare for the end-of-year financial processes.
- Oversee and keep track of important Balance Sheet items like cash, fixed assets, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assist with the external audit by collecting required documents and addressing auditor queries.
- Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure timely preparation of tax calculations and returns.
- Support restructuring activities for the company's legal entities.
- Improve and monitor internal financial controls and processes.
- Contribute to drafting and reviewing accounting policies and documenting procedures.
- Provide help on various finance-related projects as needed.
Your Profile
You will ideally have:
- A formal Accountancy Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CA, etc).
- Experience within an acquisitive, fast-growth environment
- Experience gained within an insurance environment.
- Experience dealing with multiple robust internal and external stakeholders.
- The rate of £450-500 per day represents either a logical increase in your rate or a similar level to your previous experience.
