A leading sports technology business is looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant on a 12 month FTC basis to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will ensure all statutory accounting requirements are met and assist in providing the appropriate technical accounting advice.
As Senior Financial Accountant, you will oversee statutory financial statements, provide tax return support, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and manage accounting for embedded derivatives. Key responsibilities include handling intercompany net downs, conducting impairment analyses, providing audit support, preparing US GAAP to UK GAAP bridges, and calculating provisions, deferred income, and FIN 48. Additional tasks involve processing payroll, managing corporate cost centre month-end close, preparing ORA and FRSA, and assisting with audit requests. This role is a strong support to the Financial Controller by preparing technical accounting memos, implementing standards into the business, and enhancing financial controls for high-risk projects. It includes managing controls testing, addressing deficiencies, and ensuring compliance with key reporting requirements, such as SAB 108.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CAANZ) or equivalent, with previous experience of providing finance leadership within a commercial environment.
