Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

London hybrid

£500 - £600 p/day (temp to perm)

Our client, a growing US-headquartered listed business, is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Financial Reporting Accountant based in its London finance office. This role is critical in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensuring SOX compliance across the organisation. Alongside the day to day, the successful incumbent will be responsible for implementing new applications and process improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and consolidate financial data from regional teams to ensure the accurate preparation of group financial statements.
  • Oversee the financial consolidation process ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Prepare timely and compliant consolidated financial statements in accordance with SEC reporting requirements and US GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain standardised financial reporting templates for quarterly and annual disclosures.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in financial reporting processes and contribute to the implementation of technology-driven solutions.
  • Support statutory audit requirements by delivering precise financial data and conducting detailed financial analyses as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, assisting in the development and maintenance of internal controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects, including system enhancements, process optimizations, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial consolidation and reporting within a publicly listed company or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC reporting standards, US GAAP, and SOX compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial consolidation software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across global teams.

The client operates a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office.

Candidates should be available at short notice and there will be an opportunity to go permanent.
