The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is a group of trading companies, together with a membership organisation seeking to improve standards and promote the glazing industry. The role is being recruited at an important time for the GGF as we expand the Group Compliance function and integrate internal auditing benefits into the business.

You will support the Head of Group Compliance in developing an internal audit plan and conduct objective reviews of GGF Group's operations, ensuring companies adhere to proper processes and operate efficiently. The role includes assessing the appropriateness and efficiency of the organisation's governance, risk management, and internal controls.

We are looking for a Group Internal Auditor on a part-time, 3 days a week basis. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail. You will have strong communication/ interpersonal skills and internal audit experience.

We operate a flexible working arrangement and would encourage candidates that are working towards the CIIA (Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors) qualification.

Main duties:

  • Creating a structured programme of audit activity throughout the year and report back findings through reports.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders of the business will have an opportunity to input into the Internal Audit Plan by identifying high risk areas of focus.
  • Evaluating risk exposure relating to achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  • Assessing the systems established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency with which resources are employed.
  • Monitoring and evaluating governance processes.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the organisation's risk management processes.
  • Performing advisory services related to governance, risk management and controls.
  • Reporting on the internal audit activity’s purpose, authority, responsibility, and performance relative to its plan.
  • Reporting significant risk exposures and control issues, including fraud risks, and governance issues.
  • Provide regular updates on progress of the internal audit plan activities to management.
  • Any other relevant activities as requested by the Head of Group Compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Full or Part-qualified CIIA (Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors)
  • Proven experience in an auditing or compliance role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
