Responsibilities:
As a Junior Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in driving the financial operations within the organisation. You will be responsible for accounting and reconciliation of intercompany recharges and transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, assisting in the preparation of quarterly UK Consolidation and UK Board Packs, among other responsibilities. Your ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines, maintain high standards of professional conduct while working under pressure will be key to your success in this role.
- Accounting and reconciliation of Intercompany recharges and transactions
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations - liaise with various Finance team members and assemble control pack for quarterly review
- Assisting in the preparation and variance analysis of the quarterly UK Consolidation and UK Board Packs
- Preparation of weekly & monthly bank reconciliations
- Participate in Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements for the firm and its UK subsidiaries, utilising IRIS accounts production software
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Junior Financial Accountant position will bring a wealth of knowledge in financial accounting. You should be in the process of training for ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with strong analytical skills. Your extensive familiarity with Microsoft Excel, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively liaise with various senior stakeholders within the business. Your ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure will be key to your success in this role.
- Studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with strong analytical skills
- PC literate with extensive familiarity of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - articulate and confident, including ability to effectively liaise with various senior stakeholders within the business
- Ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Accuracy and a high attention to detail
- A high level of self-motivation, autonomy, and initiative
- Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102) and US GAAP is a significant advantage
