M&E Estimator - Greenwich, London - Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Contractor
Based in central London, the company are a leading and highly-respected Mechanical and Electrical Building Services contractor, and due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their estimating team.
Operating across various sectors including, commercial fit out, residential, hospitality, data centres, education and healthcare, the company provide a full range of Mechanical and Electrical services with typical project values ranging from 500k up to 10m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tendering mechanical services projects ranging from 500kup to 4m
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and related documents to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials
- Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers and the pre-construction team to gather relevant information for accurate estimates
- Review and assess bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and historical project data
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects
Mechanical Estimator - Required Experience and Key Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Estimator
- Experience in tendering mechanical building services projects ranging from 500k up to 10m
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
