Title - Management AccountantReporting to - Financial Controller / Finance Director£70-75k + Hybrid WorkingThe Role:The primary responsibility for the Management Accountant is to manage the financial accounting and reporting for the commercial development site which includes, office space, retail units & hotels. The role will require detailed reviews of landlord cost, VAT reporting, statutory and management accounting. This includes a focus on establishing processes to ensure all outsourced partners are aware of their reporting responsibilities and are accountable for delivery. This is a commercially focus role and will require strong interpersonal skills, building working relationships with our partners and monitoring their performance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and guidance on statutory accounting treatment at for 5 group entities.
  • Implementation and maintenance of appropriate controls and processes to ensure that financial information is reliable and fits the needs of the business.
  • Contribute to finance systems implementation, with a focus on efficiency and automation.
  • To constantly develop improvements in quality of information and working practices, within the organisation.
  • Overall responsibility for the review financial information across the partner companies ensuring that the information is robust, timely and subject to appropriate internal review.
  • Support our finance team at both group consolidation and corporate finance activities.
  • Assisting in the corporate accounting for the property companies, tax and relationship with auditors.
  • Ensure delivery of accurate management accounts, VAT / CIS returns and outsourced services are provided on a timely basis and comply with statutory deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with operational management teams to understand operational cost overheads.
  • To constantly develop improvements in quality of information and working practices, within the organisation and with the outsource partners.
  • Develop internal management reporting to enable improved analysis at group Level.
  • Quarterly segment management accounts in accordance with relevant timetables to group finance, commercial finance and external auditors.
  • Delivery of the annual audits within the required time frame including managing the relationships with the external auditors.
  • Review of Operational budgets, requesting funding for partnering companies.
  • Review Partner budgets.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Yardi is highly desirable
  • Must have experience with management 5 companies with both Landlord and partner management agreements.
  • Proven ability to implement in internal controls and processes through the use of technology.
  • Ability to critically challenge financial results, analyse trends and prepare commercial commentary on the results.
  • Very organised with exceptional time management skills - able to work under pressure, prioritising and meet competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, must be able to take ownership of tasks and responsibility for work produced.
  • Experience of working and communicating with a range of stakeholders.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with a strong sense of team work.
  • A self-starter with the ability to drive change and bring energy and passion for what they do.
  • An ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant minimum of 5 years post qualified experience or 10 years of Commercial Property experience.???????
