Management Accountant - 6 Month FTC

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role offers a competitive salary, bonus, pension, CPD support, and other benefits. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Participate in the production of monthly management accounts, including assisting with the preparation of monthly Board reports.
  • Manage monthly journals for accruals, depreciation, prepayments, operating expenses, etc.
  • Perform and ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are up to date, investigating any unreconciled items.
  • Raise, record, and send out sales invoices.
  • Prepare monthly revenue journals for accrued/deferred revenue.
  • Post bank transactions and complete weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Work closely with AR/AP to ensure suppliers are paid timely and customer balances are collected.
  • Highlight errors or issues to the Financial Controller and resolve discrepancies.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Support the company’s annual statutory audit.
  • Assist with VAT and Corporation tax returns.
  • Provide training and support to junior members of the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with management accountant experience.
  • Preferably a 2:1 degree or higher and/or a strong academic background.
  • Strong Excel skills and IT systems skills, good knowledge of Sage.
  • An innovative mindset with a focus on team achievement.
  • First-class interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead.
  • Proactivity and ability to cope with a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills and rigorous attention to detail.
  • Business/financial services experience is helpful.
  • Business language fluency in English.
