Management Accounts AssistantLocation: HackneySalary: £21 per hourFull-Time PositionMUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS Purpose of the Job:To assist the Head of Management Accounts in delivering monthly budget meetings, management accounts, cashflow analysis, and the annual budget planning process.Main Tasks and Responsibilities:General Responsibilities:

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Assist in collating numeric data for monthly management accounts under the guidance of the Head of Management Accounts.
  • Maintain reconciliations for allocated income streams, ensuring monthly adjustments are made to accurately record income.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting.
  • Upload and maintain the annual budget within the Accounting System.
  • Ensure that delegation limits are aligned with the annual budget and amend as necessary.
  • Meet regularly with budget holders, representing the finance team professionally.
  • Provide clear advice and training to non-finance colleagues to improve financial understanding and confidence.
  • Assist in developing accurate and timely reporting for all levels of the business.
  • Conduct monthly transaction monitoring to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor accruals and prepayments, including monthly reconciliation.
  • Support the Head of Management Accounts in driving business performance through financial insight and efficiency.
  • Assist in compiling information for external stakeholders.
  • Support the year-end Financial Audit process.
  • Help document processes, identify improvements, and assist with their implementation.
  • Assist in producing and developing cashflow forecasts.
  • Train and support non-financial users on finance systems and processes.
  • Contribute to promotional events and general office ad-hoc duties as required.
Person Specification:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop working relationships with non-finance colleagues.
  • Ideally part-qualified in accounting or have significant recent relevant experience.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Accounting Systems and the ability to build and amend reports.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • A commitment to Equality and Diversity and safeguarding, with practical implementation ideas.
