- Maintain reconciliations for allocated income streams, ensuring monthly adjustments are made to accurately record income.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting.
- Upload and maintain the annual budget within the Accounting System.
- Ensure that delegation limits are aligned with the annual budget and amend as necessary.
- Meet regularly with budget holders, representing the finance team professionally.
- Provide clear advice and training to non-finance colleagues to improve financial understanding and confidence.
- Assist in developing accurate and timely reporting for all levels of the business.
- Conduct monthly transaction monitoring to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor accruals and prepayments, including monthly reconciliation.
- Support the Head of Management Accounts in driving business performance through financial insight and efficiency.
- Assist in compiling information for external stakeholders.
- Support the year-end Financial Audit process.
- Help document processes, identify improvements, and assist with their implementation.
- Assist in producing and developing cashflow forecasts.
- Train and support non-financial users on finance systems and processes.
- Contribute to promotional events and general office ad-hoc duties as required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop working relationships with non-finance colleagues.
- Ideally part-qualified in accounting or have significant recent relevant experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Accounting Systems and the ability to build and amend reports.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
