Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Management Accountant to provide financial support and analysis to the council’s Children’s Social Care department to help them deliver value and enhance their offering. As you’ll be joining as year-end preparation is underway, a proactive and motivated approach is required.
This CCAB qualified/part-qualified Accountant or equivalent will need to have strong system and Excel skills, coupled with attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting. They will also need good communication and influencing skills, managing expectations of budget managers effectively.
Having previous experience of local government finance would be very useful to enable you to hit the ground running, however previous experience supporting Children’s Social Care isn’t a necessity as long as there is an enthusiasm to learn the service.
