Our client is an innovative technology company revolutionising secure access control and digital security solutions. As they expand their global footprint, they’re seeking a Management Accountant to be their first in-house finance hire. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth business, take ownership of the finance function, and grow alongside the company, with the potential to eventually build and lead a finance team.

As their Management Accountant, you will take full responsibility for the company’s financial operations and play a critical role in shaping their financial strategy. You’ll work closely with senior management to ensure the business is equipped with accurate, timely financial insights, driving data-led decisions. This is a highly autonomous role, requiring someone with strong technical expertise and the ambition to grow with the business as they scale.

This is a full time role, Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm, and is fully office based.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner using Xero or equivalent platforms.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain robust budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • VAT and Compliance: Oversee VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company remains in a strong financial position.
  • Financial Processes: Design and implement scalable financial systems, controls, and processes to support growth.
  • Maintaining the Finance Function: Take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership, providing financial insights and analysis to support business growth and expansion plans.
  • Systems Management: Manage financial tools and software, with proficiency in Xero or equivalent platforms.
  • Team Growth: As the company grows, you’ll have the opportunity to recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing finance team.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
