Management Accountant | Brewery Scaleup Brand | London / Hybrid

Harmonic have partnered with an independent London Brewery on the hire of a Management Accountant to join the team. The role has been newly created in response to their continued growth and will report into the Finance Director, offering a mentored relationship.

This is an opportunity to be part of a thriving business within the FMCG sector, working closely with all departments including Production, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Planning just to name a few. The role also involves building strong relationships with external stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and investors.

Having recently completed an acquisition, this role offers significant opportunities for growth and will eventually include responsibilities for an additional site.

The role:

  • Daily reconciliation of accounting records using Xero
  • Monthly management of balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed asset reconciliations for review by the Finance Director
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by the Finance Director
  • Weekly preparation of COGS details for analysis of production costs
  • Preparation of weekly supplier payment runs
  • Management of debtors in coordination with the Sales team and Finance Director
  • Collaboration with the Production department on CAPEX projects
  • Preparation and submission of monthly payroll reports for review
  • Oversight and management of the account's inbox, liaising with customers and suppliers as necessary
  • Preparation of HMRC submissions, including beer duty and VAT returns
  • Performing other ad hoc finance-related tasks as required

What our client would like to see (essential):

  • Part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA / would also consider QBE
  • Passionate about hospitality space as well as FMCG/Consumer Goods
  • Strong technical grounding
  • Commercially astute with excellent communication skills
  • Highly analytical and commercial

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Hospitality / hotel / restaurant / multisite / retail experience would be beneficial

Salary: up to £45,000-£50,000 + benefits

Start date: ASAP

Location: South East London / Hybrid (2 days WFH)
