Based in West London, MRK Associates is exclusively partnering with a growing entrepreneurial business who are looking for a part qualified or fully qualified accountant to join their team as Management Accountant on a permanent basis, working hybrid 4 days in the office.
This job would suit a CIMA or ACCA part qualified or a fully ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant to be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for 4 businesses in this European Group.
The company has seen strong growth over the last 10 years with turnover currently at c.£40M turnover and having recently undertaken a successful refinancing that will allow the business to continue its development. This business works across Europe with a strong presence in the UK and, due to internal movement, is needing to backfill the Management Accountant position for 4 companies in the group totalling c.£25M t/o.
The successful individual will either be an ACCA or CIMA studier or will be fully qualified and have a strong track record in producing the management accounts pack in their previous roles. The ability to build good relationships with key stakeholders and deliver and explain results to senior people in the business is critical. Strong Excel skills are important.
Duties include:
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Profit and Loss account analysis
- Balance Sheet accounts review & reconciliation
- Supporting the quarterly forecasting process
- Assisting with the implementation of project improvement initiatives
- Assisting auditors in connection with the company accounts
- Analysis of Budget versus Actuals
- Identifying and improvements of process issues
